Natural citrine and amethyst occur in veins and fissures mostly in the vicinity of the gemstone pegmatites of Zambia and Southern DRC. The citrine has a natural yellow colour and had not to be treated (heating) to get its pure yellow colour, which ranges from light to intense yellow. Some stones have a distict colour zoning with smoky quartz or colourless quartz.
